A stunning example of Chanel haute couture from 1960, this red dress and jacket are constructed in red silk chiffon. The strapless dress has a boned internal corset and is panelled over the bust with a softly pleated skirt. Red grosgrain ribbon bows highlight the bust and waist, while the sheer jacket has a loose cut, tying with a ribbon on the neck.

Your body’s natural waistline at its slimmest point, just above the navel.

Measure around the point of your hips at the top of the legs. This will be approximately nine inches below your natural waistline.


The distance from the top of your inner thigh to the ankle.


Lengths are taken from the highest point of the garment (the shoulder or the neckline) to the hem.
