With an identical gown featuring in the runway show, John Galliano’s Spring Summer 2000 collection drew inspiration from music genres of the 20th Century. The gown comprises of an asymmetric bodice in pale pink satin and a paneled lace skirt that falls into a sweeping three-point train. The deconstructed aesthetic is enhanced by a corset-style lace-up detail that runs from the back of the gown, around to the front of the skirt, creating a thigh-high split.
